Q: What kind of file should I send you?
A: High Resolution PDFs are our favorite to work with, but we can also accept design programs such as inDesign, Illustrator, Publisher, or Microsoft Word, etc. We will evaluate your file to determine that the resolution is acceptable and let you know if we have any concerns. For any file other than PDF, we will send you back a digital proof to confirm that all text, photos, format appear as you like. If submitting a file other than a high res PDF with embedded fonts and links, please be sure to provide us with fonts and images you are using.
Q: Where should I send my file to?
A: You can upload it through our website or our dropbox.
Q: Can you print from USB?
A: Absolutely! We also have a self-serve computer if you need to access something online for a quick print.
Q: How do I get a quote for a job?
A: If you are looking for a custom quote, please email us at your desired pick up location (Greenfield - firstname.lastname@example.org or Northampton - email@example.com) and we will get back to you with your requested quote or any further questions we have about the job. It will speed the process along if you are able to send the file or draft to us when you request the quote.
Q: What is a proof and why do I need one?
A: Before printing your job, we will send you a digital proof or show you a hard copy proof so that you can make sure what we produce is exactly what you are looking for. We will have you okay the proof to confirm that the colors, font, layout, etc is correct.
Q: Why does the color look different when it is printed?
A: In the world of printing, it is important to understand the different factors that can contribute to how color appears. If your computer monitor is not properly calibrated for color, you will not be able to view the color as accurately as possible from a monitor. When you view color on your computer screen, the color is interpreted as RGB - red, green, and blue light, whereas when we print digitally we use CMYK toner - cyan, magenta, yellow, and key (black). Our high tech machines are able to interpret the colors with what most customers find to be negligible variance, making digital printing a popular and cost effective option for small jobs.
Q: What if I need an exact color match?
A: Larger jobs, or jobs that require perfect color matching with no fraction of variance, would be better suited for offset printing. For example, if you need a very specific color, like for a logo on envelopes or letterhead, we would print offset with the PMS color, or Pantone Matching System, that you request. This will provide us the exact color detail to perfectly recreate the color you need. Another great use of offset printing would be for jobs that are high volume, with special folds or inserts, or getting mailed out. Our customer service team is happy to go over these different options to find the right option for you!
Q: What is your turnaround time?
A: We will work with you to help you reach your deadline. For any jobs with proofs, estimated turnaround time begins once we get your final approval. Typically, turnaround is overnight or same day depending on the job. For bigger projects or special orders, we will advise you on turnaround times if we expect the job to take longer. Our goal above all is to help you get your job in time for when you need it. We won't shy away from working later or making special deliveries for you if that is what it takes. We value our customers and their satisfaction.
Q: Where are you located?
